Becki grew up in Devon and has had a passion for flying ever since her first flying lesson aged 9. She got her Private Pilot's Licence in South Africa before going to Bath University to study physics.

Matt lived in Qatar until he was 12, then went to school in Dorset before studying physics at Bath where he met Becki. They got married in 2008 and moved back to Devon when Becki got a job as an 'eye in the sky' pilot for Pirate FM. Matt has spent the last 4 years teaching science at Holsworthy Community College.

Becki first heard of the amazing work of MAF at Christian Union, in 2005 and quickly decided to become an Area Rep, giving presentations to groups and churches around the South West. She spent a week in Uganda, in 2007 seeing an MAF operation in action and once, she had gained the required fl ying experience, began the application process to become a pilot with MAF. Becki, Matt and Bethan served with MAF in Madagascar from 2014-2016 before returning to the UK for the birth of their second child Luke. The family lived and served in Chad from 2017-2024 and have now relocated to Arusha to join the MAF Tanzania team

As Becki, Matt, Bethan and Luke step out in this new challenge, they are looking to build the team of people committed to supporting them prayerfully, financially, or both. Could you be one of them?
